About Us
JENNIFER FELIX- I have always
been very crafty and creative.
I love coming up with new ideas and seeing people’s reactions.
One of my biggest JOYS….is to make people smile.
My husband surprised me one year with an embroidery machine.
I was a stay-at-home mom with my daughter.
I loved every second of being home with her for those 12 months,
but I was itching to do something creative.
So, I thought this would be the perfect answer….this could be a
great “home based business”.
That way I can still get my creativity out, set my hours and not
miss out on anything with my daughter.
After I started “working” on my business for several years, we
needed to make it official.
So, my husband and I started thinking of business names.
I loved the number 4 because there were 4 of us in the family.
And since it was going to be a family business, it fit perfectly!
And Shadows came from a double meaning…everybody in the family
having a shadow in the business and part of our street name where we
used to live. In 2004, I
grew so much, from word of mouth, that I traded my machine in and got a
semi-industrial one. My
name was starting to take shape in Lake Mary, FL and the surrounding
areas. I was very proud of
what it had become.
The biggest compliment from anybody is telling someone about me and what
I do. Since then, I now
have 2 machines and a garment printer.
My husband and my sweet girls, Nicole (9) and Megan (7) are very
supportive. I never rest,
which does become a problem some days.
But, one day, I hope my daughters will appreciate the work ethic
and dedication I have. Because I LOVE what I do!
And that is SO important to find something you are that
passionate about and LOVE to do it every day!
I found this saying and it fits so perfect because it’s a
constant reminder to me…..
Enjoy the LITTLE things, for
one day you may look back and realize they were the BIG things.
